Emily Burt, LSW, CTP, EMDR Provider
Emmy is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). She is formally trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for the treatment of trauma, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She also has a strong training background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the treatment of substance abuse.
Emmy attended Saint Joseph’s University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then continued her education at Widener University earning a Master of Social Work.
Emmy has more than 10 years of experience working with veterans and their families and has worked in both residential and outpatient settings. She specializes in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance abuse. Utilizing a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, Emmy collaborates with each individual to meet their goals and improve their wellness. She is passionate about mental health for individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
Emmy enjoys cooking and paddle boarding as well as spending time with her large family, including her two sons, in her free time.
Emmy is available for in-person and virtual sessions.
