Niya has over 16 years of experience working within the mental health field helping individuals learn sustainable coping solutions to manage life challenges.
Niya obtained her a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from Saint Joseph’s University in 2011 and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University in 2020. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and will soon be a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Niya is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Aggression Replacement, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Her approach is person-centered, strength-based and solution-focused. She has provided counseling services to individuals, couples, and families with a wide range of challenges including PTSD, relationship issues, behavior concerns, depression, anxiety, stress management, personality disorders, and anger management. Niya has a passion for helping others and believes that developing a trusting relationship is the foundation for effective therapy.
