• Danielle Palermo, LSW

Danielle is a trauma-informed Therapist and Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who has been working in the mental health field since 2012, specializing in supporting girls and women impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, and complex life stressors. She provides a warm, nonjudgmental, and empowering space for healing. Danielle brings extensive experience across private practice, shelters, hospitals, schools, and community settings, and has facilitated domestic violence support groups, school-based IDT, and adolescent and adult IOP and PHP programs. She also has experience supporting trauma-related substance use in adults and working with adolescents and families to understand behavior through a compassionate, insight-driven lens. Her approach is rooted in the belief that women can be both gentle and powerful, and she is known for her calm, grounded presence in high-intensity situations while remaining committed to delivering high-quality, individualized care through a compassionate, empowering, and skills-based approach.

Danielle is deeply passionate about working with women and believes in the power of women supporting women. She believes that shared lived experiences can provide a unique depth of understanding and validation when navigating complex, vulnerable, and often deeply personal challenges. Danielle has extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), while also treating anxiety and depression, and supports clients navigating trauma, relational challenges, and complex emotional experiences. She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Gestalt therapy to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and increased self-awareness. Danielle also works with women navigating medical-related concerns, including fertility, as well as body image, self-esteem, and weight-related challenges, and supports women in recovery from substance use with a compassionate, holistic approach. Additionally, she works with adolescents ages 10 and older with a focus on behavioral concerns, and values a family-centered approach by involving caregivers in the therapeutic process to support lasting, meaningful change.

Danielle is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who holds a Master’s degree in Social Work. She has received advanced training in trauma-informed care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which inform her structured, skills-based, and client-centered approach to treatment. Danielle’s clinical experience spans outpatient and community-based settings, where she has provided both individual and group therapy. She is known for her thoughtful, attuned clinical presence and her ability to tailor evidence-based interventions to meet the nuanced needs of each client. Danielle is committed to delivering high-quality, ethical, and individualized care, integrating evidence-based practices to support meaningful and lasting therapeutic outcomes.

Outside of her clinical work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family, especially being actively involved in her nieces’ lives, and values the importance of connection and balance. She has always had a strong love for animals, especially dogs, and has a special place in her heart for rescue dogs, including her own. Danielle enjoys exploring new restaurants and trying different foods, as well as spending time outdoors walking and practicing mindfulness on local trails when the weather allows. In her free time, she enjoys attending community events with her family and values the sense of connection and belonging that community provides. She also enjoys creative outlets, including planning and decorating, and appreciates opportunities to express creativity in thoughtful and intentional ways. Danielle values living a balanced and mindful lifestyle and brings that same level of presence, care, and intentionality into her work with clients.
