As a trauma therapist, Melissa has a passion for working with women through the emotional challenges of life transitions, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. Her goal is to walk alongside you with empathy, guidance, and practical tools to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and grow. Melissa’s philosophy is simple: meet you where you are and support you in creating the life you want. She takes a client-centered and collaborative approach to therapy, recognizing that everyone’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique.

Melissa also has experience supporting clients with LGBTQ+ concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship struggles, and family dynamics/transitions. Melissa’s lived trauma experiences and own LGBTQ+ journey inspires her to be the support she once needed and never found. Rooted in the belief that healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, Melissa strives to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

Melissa is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) specializing in perinatal mental health. Her integrative approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you navigate your healing journey thoughtfully and at a pace that feels right for you. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Albright College and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in trauma, from Grand Canyon University. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Melissa continues to expand her clinical expertise and is currently working toward her PMH-C certification to support women through the emotional transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

When she’s not in the office, Melissa enjoys spending time with her wife, their three dogs—Pongo, Copper, and Lily—and her niece. She enjoys being outdoors and finding grounding activities that help her slow down and be present.
