Brianne, LCSW

Brianne Cardo is a licensed clinical social worker, wife and mother. She attended Widener University for her Masters in Social Work with a focus in clinical practice.
Brianne’s professional experience includes Children and Youth Services, healthcare settings, outpatient settings, complex care management, and community based family therapy. In her time as a family therapist, Brianne treated adolescents with anxiety, depression and oppositional behaviors, provided couples and family therapy, facilitated behavioral planning and coordinated with schools and juvenile justice systems.
Brianne believes that client progress starts with the therapeutic relationship. She recognizes that while her role is to guide and counsel ultimately, clients are the experts in their lives and therefore follows a client centered, strengths based approach. In her practice, Brianne utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment and family systems theories.
Brianne is committed to the well being of her clients. While women’s issues are her passion, she also treats couples, individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, stress, and relationship difficulties. Brianne’s goal is to help clients feel understood and validated throughout the therapeutic process.
