Bernadette Elinsky, LSW
Bernadette is a graduate of Widener University’s Master of Social Work program and is on the path towards obtaining her license in clinical social work (LCSW). With a focus on treating concerns related to trauma, Bernadette has received advanced training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and utilizes various evidence-based practices to inform treatment, including Motivational Interview (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based and somatic practices.
Drawing from both her educational and professional backgrounds – including serving as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and a Montessori and homeschooling educator – as well as her personal experience as a mother and life partner, Bernadette provides an eclectic approach to treatment, understanding that there are many paths to healing and that successful treatment must be tailored to the individual.
As a life-long learner, Bernadette continues to grow and be humbled by the courage and perseverance each and every client exhibits along the road of self-discovery and healing. Through empathy and therapeutic partnership, Bernadette encourages each client to do the hard work of exploring their own inner workings with compassion and dignity.
