Thoughts of Gratitude
Thoughts of Gratitude by Nikki Switzer
After a day full of yummy fall-themed foods, flag football, laughter, kids running around, and connecting with my family on Thanksgiving; I like to sit down (with another piece of pie) and reflect on what I am grateful for this year and what came to mind for me is…
I am definitely grateful for this piece of Pumpkin Pie, but more importantly, among the top five of other things I am grateful for, is my job working at Everlasting Wellness LLC in our Lotus Rising Trauma Program. This is a place where I am recognized and seen as some of the attributes that are most important to me: being a therapist, a supervisor, a mom, and a woman. At Everlasting Wellness LLC, I have the opportunity to incorporate all the parts of me that are important in my life, while I work.
Being a trauma therapist is a passion of mine, with my drive running on the belief that every mom deserves healing, and every woman deserves healing from their identified trauma. The concept of “healing from trauma” feels new in the timeline of our society, but at Everlasting Wellness LLC, it makes up the core of our mission- “a place where every woman’s voice is heard, no matter how soft.” At Everlasting Wellness LLC, we live this mission for ourselves and for our clients.
Everlasting Wellness LLC has built a team who supports each other, and our clients, meeting everyone where they are at, who challenges growth in the best ways, and acknowledges you have a family at home. It is a team that welcomes kids to our events; like our recent “Trunk or Treat.” My kids talked about it for weeks- all the candy, the popcorn, a movie that we had playing in our conference room and running around the office with other kids. We are a community at Everlasting Wellness LLC and connection is one of the most important things among our team.
Before coming to Everlasting Wellness LLC, I dreamed about a place where I could meet with clients in those calm and comfortable rooms, where I had the resources to truly support clients, where I could pour into myself to grow as a therapist and leader, and where I could have people care how my family is, and how I am as a person- IT DOES EXIST AT EVERLASTING WELLNESS LLC and I am so grateful for it this Thanksgiving!!!
