• Bella Gomez, LAPC

Bella draws from an integrated framework supporting children 3-17, adults, families, and couples navigating the effects of trauma, overwhelming emotions, and more. She brings personal insight into the challenges of chronic health and reproductive concerns. Grounded in psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, and play therapy, Bella helps clients understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and build more secure relationships. Whether it’s lying on the ground coloring, or sitting in necessary silence, Bella’s work is genuine, attuned, and client-centered.

Bella is particularly drawn to clients who long to understand why they feel and interact with the world the way they do, or are quietly carrying the weight of past experiences. She works relationally and emotionally, helping individuals and families explore how early attachment experiences, intergenerational patterns, and unprocessed trauma continue to influence present-day relationships and all parts of self. Her approach blends insight-oriented work with somatic awareness, recognizing that meaningful change occurs through integration of mind and body. Bella is both direct and warm, creating space for emotional depth while offering thoughtful guidance that helps clients move toward greater regulation, self-compassion, and relational security. Clients are encouraged to tap into their inner child, or be the genuine child they are, in the therapeutic space.

Bella received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She has completed trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB). She completed her clinical internship working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, self-concept, and relational concerns. She plays several instruments and has been involved in the performing arts since she was young, which is reflected in her work, especially with those who enjoy incorporating music into therapy. Prior to her graduate studies, Bella worked as a behavioral therapist supporting neurodivergent children and as a medical assistant in a neurology practice serving individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries. Bella’s multicultural background is emphasized in her cultural humility and the inclusive space she creates.

Outside of the therapy room, Bella enjoys playing outside with her two pups, Mousse and Ziggy, cooking, doing arts and crafts, making music, and spending time with her family.
