Rachael Livingston, LPC, CAADC, CCTPII, CPT and EMDR Provider

Rachael is a trauma informed Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who prioritizes the healing and empowerment of marginalized individuals and groups. Because of this, she is a passionate ally to LGBTQ+ individuals, the BIPOC community, women, and others who have been impacted by systemic oppression. She specializes in the treatment of trauma related disorders as well as the unique mental health needs of women across all life stages. Rachael is committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space to guide those who may be struggling to feel seen, validated, or understood in their healing journeys.

As part of each person’s healing journey, Rachael strives to help clients reclaim their strength and resilience following traumatic experiences. This process may include assisting clients in developing self-confidence and self-compassion, particularly if they find themselves minimizing the impact or validity of their experiences, pain, or stress. Rachael also offers support for other common challenges such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship/attachment concerns, life transitions, and perinatal concerns.

Rachael’s commitment to uplifting others even extends beyond these common concerns. In addition to treating single incident, childhood, and intergenerational trauma, Rachael is experienced in and passionate about supporting others through community based and secondary trauma experiences. This includes offering mental health first aid and disaster relief for communities, first responders, and mental health or medical providers.

Rachael is credentialed as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional level 2 (CCTP-II), a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), a Certified Women’s Mental Health Specialist, and an experienced EMDR provider. She believes that treatment is a collaborative process and focuses on the unique strengths and needs of each individual. As a result, her approach to therapy is individualized and draws from various modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). In addition to these modalities Rachael incorporates expressive arts and body oriented approaches, such as sensorimotor and somatic techniques, into sessions.

If you are ready to explore what healing can look like for you, Rachael is committed to supporting your steps toward meaningful and lasting change.
